Why choose a hand specialist?
The hand is second only to the brain in surgical and anatomical complexity. There is a fascinating and delicate relationship between its many parts, its nerves and tendons and joints.
Some general plastic and orthopaedic surgeons "have a go" at operating on the hand. Surely you would prefer a hand specialist, someone dedicated only to hand surgery, and who works closely with specialist hand therapists?
Why ask for Dr Rider?
Practices purely in hand surgery
Emphasis on patient education
Personally performs all surgery (doesn't delegate to assistants)
On-site hand therapy (Liverpool)
New patient appointments given at least 30 minutes
Urgent problems e.g. fractures given priority appointments
